A squad of seven will be heading to Guernsey to compete in the badminton events at the Island Games next month.
This year’s squad sees a blend of experience and youth with Matt Rankenhohn returning for his third Island Games. First appearing in Jersey 2015, he had a good run in the Singles event in Gibraltar 2019 reaching the last 16. Also on the team from Gibraltar 2019 are Lowri Jones and Morgan Shaw. Joining these three will be debutants Steff Oliver-Smith, Josh Askel-Hart, Annabel Short, and Eban Jones. They’ll all be getting plenty of action in Guernsey with singles, doubles and the team event meaning many matches.

All seven will compete in various combinations. Drawn into the group alongside Ynys Môn are hosts Guernsey, Menorca, and Gibraltar.
