In 1991, at the Åland Games, Golf was included for the first time with a Women’s tournament included from the 1997 Games. Ynys Môn sent a team for the first time in 1993 and the competed at the following 7 Games in the men’s tournament. A women’s team has only been entered on one occasion in 2003. Ynys Môn returned with a men’s team in 2023 in Guernsey.
Two medals have been won by Ynys Môn in Golf and these were both in our first year of entering the tournament in 1993. Emyr Jones came 3rd at the individual competition and the team came 3rd in the Team Event. The team came close to adding to the medal tally in 2001 when they came 4th in the Team Event.
