Alternative Clay Event
Location: Shetland
Dates: 5th – 11th July 2025
After the disappointing news earlier this year that Orkney decided to withdraw the Clay Shooting from the 2025 Island Games, Shetland have stepped into the breach to offer an alternative clay event, please see the attached proposal from Shetland.
As you can imagine this is a very tight turn around to arrange selections and field a final team for this event.
Those wishing to put themselves forward for selection must register an interest with the YMIGA Shooting Coordinator no later than 12pm on Saturday the 7th of September 2024 using the contact details below. Please advise as to which discipline you intend to enter for.

All disciplines will be held as team and individual events.
Eligibility
Conditions for Representing Ynys Môn
The following section is taken from the Section 6 of the IIGA Operational Guidelines
“To represent a Member Island, a competitor may qualify either by:
1.
Having been born on that Member Island.
2.
A competitor may be considered to have been born on a Member Island if the mother was normally resident on that Island immediately prior to the birth and returned to the Island soon after.
3.
Having been resident on that Member Island for the period of 12 consecutive months prior to the date of the Opening Ceremony of the Games to be entered.
