Ynys Môn Men’s Football Team looking for Manager with the Golden touch

Ynys Môn men’s Football are in search of a new manager to take the helm and lead the team for next years Island Games in Guernsey.

The Men’s team won Gold in the Inter Games held on Anglesey in 2019 so will be hoping for more success with the return of football at the official Island Games tournament in 2023. Campbell Harrison was in charge in 2019 and used the breadth of local talent to captivate the large crowds across the week culminating in a fantastic 2-1 victory over Guernsey in the final in front of a packed house at Holyhead Hotspur’s New Oval ground.

A draw took place at the beginning of September to pick the 16 men’s teams for the 2023 tournament from the 19 that applied. Fortunately, Ynys Môn were selected and will be in Guernsey. But now we need a manager.

With less than a year to go the search for a new managerial team begins and Ynys Môn Men’s Football are now accepting applications for the position.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside both experienced Island Games competitors and young talent raring to be given the chance to represent Ynys Môn. The Guernsey 2023 Island Games is from 8th to 14th July 2023 and will be played across 5 venues on the island. The football tournament will comprise of a group stage followed by the knockout stage for successful teams and position playoffs for the remaining sides.
