Meet the Team …

Dave Lemon (Triathlon Co-ordinator)

I have been doing triathlons for the past 8 years and enjoy the longer distance events. I have regularly competed in the local events at Sprint and Olympic distances and travelled further afield for longer distance events. I have completed 5 Ironman distances in 5 different countries (US, UK, Lanzorote, Czech Republic and Austria) with my greatest achievement coming last year when i broke the 10 hour Ironman mark in Austria. I have been the co-ordinator for triathlon for Ynys Mon for the last 2 years but will unfortunately I will stepping down after my first games.

Phil Lynes

I started Triathlons about 4 years ago and eventually got the Triathlon bug! I participate in all local Triathlons from friendly sprints in Pwllheli and Llanrwst to brutal challenges in the form of the Always Aim High tri series that includes the Slateman, Sandman and Snowman. My fodness for triathlons grows year on year and I have improved year on year. So much so that I have represented Team GB Age Groupers in the European Championships in Kitzbuhel, Austria last year. I have to say that is my triathlon highlight. I have also had quite a few podium finishes but have never won a race which is my goal for this year

Dwynwen Lewis

I started triathlon 3 years ago for a bit of fun. Since then I have competed at the ITU World Championships in London (September 2013), completed the gruelling Alpe D’Huez Long Course triathlon (coming 7th lady overall and second in category) and this year I will be concentrating on the Island Games and Middle Distance/70.3 triathlons with a view to qualifying for the Middle Distance World Championships in Austria in August this year. It’s great being back representing Ynys Mon and my old athletics club
