We are delighted to announce our full squad for the International Island Games in Orkney this summer!
Our squad comprises a great mix of previous medalists and young blood to take to Orkney this summer. Over the course of a week (12th-18th July) we will be competing in eight sports and have 84 athletes and 21 coaches/officials proudly wearing the colours of Ynys Môn.
After a mammoth 16-hour coach journey from Holyhead to the very north of Scotland, we’ll then hop on a ferry for the crossing to the Orkney Islands. The team are all staying close together in Stromness. The Opening Ceremony on Saturday 12th July will be hosted by Lorraine Kelly and the Games will officially be opened by HRH The Princess Royal! Once the buzz of the Opening Ceremony has died down, the competitive action begins on Sunday morning.
