Following a spirited performance from the women and a 3-2 defeat to Guernsey yesterday, they finish bottom of their group and play Greenland today for 9th/10th place decider (1pm kick off).
Sunday, June 28th – Our Games BEGIN
After a fun opening ceremony, the Ynys Mon Ladies kicked off today with their first game against Aland. Set to be a tough game against the reigning champs, Ynys Mon put in a great display. They finished the first half 1-0 down and fell 5-2 at the final whistle. Ynys Mon goal scorers Katie Williams and Lexie Musgrave. A strong display against the Aland side and a quick turn around before tomorrow’s 1pm game against Isle of Wight.
Thursday, June 18th – Second friendly
The Ynys Mon Women beat Bethel Ladies 3-2 in their final preparation Game ahead of Jersey next week. Here they are pictured in their new kits
Sunday, June 7th 2015 – First pre-Games friendly
First friendly for Ynys Mon women’s football team resulted in a win over North Wales Women’s League winners Denbigh Town Ladies. Thanks to Denbigh for hosting. The result was 3-2 and Ynys Mon goal scorers were Jordanne Greenough, Katie Williams and Charlotte Webb. The next friendly is away to Bethel Ladies on the evening of Thursday, June 18th.

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT – 21/04/2015
Ynys Mon has announced its women’s football squad ahead of the International Island Games in Jersey this Summer.
The squad is made up of players from Amlwch Ladies, Caernarfon Ladies, Llandudno Junction, Bethel Ladies and Blackpool Ladies.
The team is as follows: Hannah Lloyd (Goal Keeper), Cerys Gadd, Claire Jones, Paige Musgrave, Carol Lewis, Anna Roberts, Ffion Owen, Charlotte Webb, Katie Williams, Katie Lewtas, Chloe Taylor, Catrin Thomas, Jordanne Greenough, Philippa Jones, Holly Beddall, Charlotte Gill and Meinir Thomas.
The ladies will represent Anglesey against a tough group stage against Aland, Guernsey and Isle of Wight.
Manager Karen Williams said: “We have a real mix of players in terms of age and experience, which will lay some strong foundations for future competitions as well as for Jersey, where preparation and fundraising is now in full swing.”
